Christmas is over again, and the time between Christmas eve and New-years eve I spent skiing and hanging out with friends and family. A friend of mine took this picture on a gray and shitty day sometime in Christmas. A portrait and a 540 tailgrab. It's a cool shot, tailgrabs are so visible on photos. If you like it you should check out Mathias Vinje Photography for more skiing photos.

If there is one thing I have learned, it's that nothing comes along by itselves. Hard work and currage it what's needed in a sport like freeskiing.

The 3. of January me and Ida headed back home to her house in Lillehammer. It's the time of year that competitions is around the corner, and everything you have worked on so far, has to get perfect. New tricks has to be learned, and old tricks has to be re-done. Slopestyle, rail comps, big air comps and filming is just some of the things I am planning to do this season, and I really want to do everything well. I've got the time that's needed, since all I ever do is to ski. I just need motivating and guts to do what I have to do. On the picture you see the handsome looking guy named Jens Gunnhildsrud. (Or is it whitout the H-letter?) Shoot me if I'm wrong. You gotta look up for this guy, he is been KILLING it lately. He is on the Norwegian Salomon team with me, and he is really fun to ski with. Hafjell is the resort I am currently training in, and the park is AWESOME! Thank you Per Danielson, Magne and all the guys working their ass off for the skiers and boarders to be happy.

The second jump in a line with three jumps. It is really a large one this year. I've allready seen switch 12's by pk and others, and I've overrotated several sw 1080's myself. It really kicks ass if you have the speed that's needed to get airborne. A lot of guys are here training for the season. Ole Mustad, Kim boberg, myself, Pk left yesterday for US, Arild Tveit are here (skiing every day with me, thank you).. and yeah, a lot of good guys.

Tomorrow is training day as every other day. So much fun skiing down here. It's sunny and REALLY cold. Sunday was -20 degrees celsius. I've just got an invitation for Austria Freeskiing open next week, and I am thrilled to be there to compete again. I'm looking really foreward to compete real slopestyle this early at season, with pro skiers and friends. Hopefully I do well, but I gotta ski a little more to get my tricks nice and done.
It's a lot of text and so little entertaining, but this is actually my everyday of skiing, at that's how it is. Hopefully I be able to put up a small edit here in a few days. Stay tuned!
